That I am aware of, Mexico enforces its immigration laws and at the same time encourages those Mexicans who cannot make it in Mexico to go north and cross illegally into the U.S. with its myriad social welfare programs. Subsequently those illegal aliens send whatever dollars they get, back to Mexico where one could live fairly well on this untaxed income.
No wonder they seem so happy and carefree!
Mexico has for decades engaged in a huge outsourcing of its responsibility to its citizens by saying to America: “you handle it”.
Much like the lousy parent who abdicates their parental responsibilities and says to the local school “I can’t (maybe won’t) do anything with this kid, you do it!).
It is one thing to visit as an affluent visitor a foreign country in protected and hospitable zones and quite another to be coerced to illegally emigrate to another country then flaunt the laws which citizens there are expected to follow.

All great points. Thankfully a beacon of light out there exists, and it’s from a friendly neighbor just north of us. Jordan Peterson of Toronto University. He is one of the most influential and intellectual voices out there right now with sweeping logic and rationality. He is bringing a tidal wave of truth against all the rhetoric you speak of in your article. I think we will look back a few years from now and see that he was the turning point that brought back self accountability and responsibility to the USA. I have never had so much hope in my life, along with journalists like you that see through this madness.

Oh, and you misspelled malicious. . . . 🙂 you forgot the “L”.

We “Wintered” in Mexico for seven years. They have their issues, too, of course. But to Jeffrey’s point, there are two major differences: (1) The Mexican people generally have a healthy distrust of government. Whereas Americans look to Government for . . . well, just about everything. (2) Mexicans tend to be happy – smiling, singing, and dancing no matter their lot in life, even if they do not have what others do. In America, it has become the norm to demand that Government provide equal results to all. [And it should be pointed out that many of Mexico’s problems are a direct result of America’s Prohibition II, the stupid and ineffective “War on Drugs” that America has forced upon other countries, which, just like Prohibition I has resulted, inevitably, in black markets, drug lords, gangs, death-dealing and government corruption.]
