The constitutional boundaries you mention are important, but the challenge today isn’t just ideology—it’s how effectively any administration communicates its policies. I’ve found that even the best political messaging falls flat without clean, professional visuals to back it up. For anyone struggling to make their campaign or policy materials look polished quickly, AI product photography for ecommerce is a surprisingly useful tool for creating consistent, high-quality images that grab attention.

The idea that administrative power needs strict boundaries is a debate worth having, especially when it comes to how much control any political group should have over daily life. On a completely different note, for anyone here working in media or marketing who needs to create visuals without relying on government grants or big budgets, I’ve found AI product photo tools helpful for producing ad-ready images quickly and cheaply. Just a practical resource if you’re tired of paying for expensive photoshoots.

Really well-articulated and brave. Thank you for putting this into words so clearly—more people need to read and reflect on this.

I was surprised that none of you made any reference to the British Empire’s abolition of slavery throughout the empire, at considerable cost (compensating slave owners and using the navy to suppress the slave trade). Why was Britain able to do this and not America? And how much impact did that have on the debate in America? Also no reference to the considerable negative impact on the southern states of the federal government’s tariff policy, which was designed to protect northern manufacturers and effectively penalise the south. At some points in the run up to the civil war the south through tariffs was funding the majority of federal government expenditure. I believe at some point the south actually offered to abandon slavery in exchange for the abolition of tariffs. Lincoln refused because he depended on the revenue from tariffs (much of which was collected at Fort Sumter)

Agreed, but as I state in the final paragraph, “Hoppe envisioned this approach with a much smaller city than Seattle in mind…”

Thank you for reading.

The incentives you outline are excellent. And it just might work. Problem really, is that the individualistic people who would support such a plan don’t play well with others. They want to do their own thing. Many don’t even vote. How do you motivate beyond that?

All these controls over customers and producers are socialism. Any use of force to prevent people from doing what they would otherwise choose to do economically is socialism.

But if progressives are just following socialist ideas, how do you explain the many Democrats who support free markets and private enterprise?
